Empty Capsules

1. How many mg (milligrams) do the capsules hold?

Mg is a weight measurement. The density of the powder, plus the capacity of the capsule (in ml) means that the weight in milligrams can vary greatly. As an example, a size 1 capsule can hold approximately 300 to 600mg depending on the density of the powder. 

How many capsules do I need to hold a teaspoon of powder?

Number of capsules needed to hold approximately one (1) teaspoon of powder:

• Size 000 : 4
• Size 00 : 5 - 6
• Size 0 : 7
• Size 1 : 10
• Size 2 : 13 - 14
• Size 3 : 16 - 17
• Size 4 : 23 - 24

As a visual aid, we chose to use a pencil and a headphone jack for comparison, as those items should be easy to find most anywhere in the world!

2. What are the capsules made of?

The gelatin capsules are made from bovine hide only.  Gelatin has been used safely for decades. Vegetarian capsules are derived from 100% plant-based material known as HPMC. They contain mostly cellulose.  Like gelatin, also safely used in commercial food products for decades.

3. Do you carry 'enteric coated' capsules?

"Enteric coating" is a process which is generally done after a capsule has been filled with powder, therefore it isn't possible to sell empty enteric-coated capsules. While an enteric coated capsule has been developed, the quantity, cost and availability of those capsules combined with a relatively low demand makes carrying the specialized capsules impractical at this time.

Shipping

1. How long does it take for delivery of the products?

We process orders in the order they are received. At this time, we're able to ship from our site in 1-2 business days for most domestic orders. Please allow 10 days for Priority Mail delivery! If you need it faster, please contact us by email and we'll happily accommodate your needs if possible. International and volume discount customers: Please allow 2 to 4 weeks for delivery.

2. Do you offer overnight shipping?

We do not offer overnight shipping at this time.  We can ship via USPS Priority Mail, which is 2-3 business days to most US destinations. Your items will generally ship within 24-48 hours of receipt of payment. Contact us by email for more info.

3. Can you ship to addresses outside of the US?

Yes we do, via Express Mail International Service, Priority Mail International, or 1st Class Mail International with the US Postal Service only. You are responsible for duty fees through customs in your own country. Tracking and insurance are not provided with 1st Class Mail International. That means if the package gets lost using 1st Class Mail International, we will not be liable for its replacement. Payment

1. What methods of payment do you accept?

Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, Shop, GooglePay, Venmo and PayPal. 

2. Will you accept a personal check?

We do not accept personal checks.

3. Does the price include sales tax?

A sales tax charge will be added to your order total based on your state's tax policy.

1. What is your privacy policy?

EmptyCaps.com compiles a list of our customers strictly for our own private in-house use and for the purpose of tracking demographic information, and keeping you informed on what's going on with EmptyCaps.com. The list is kept completely confidential at all times. We do not and will not sell, trade or otherwise distribute this list for any reason whatsoever. We don't like getting junk email either! 

Once an order is placed and credit card and personal information is requested, orders are then processed through Shopify and all transactions and information are encrypted for your security and peace of mind. Look for the "https:" at the beginning of the address line. The "s" indicates information being transmitted is secure and encrypted.

2. What is your refund policy?

Refunds may be considered on capsule packages that are sealed and in like new condition within 30 days, at the sole discretion of Empty Caps Company. For health considerations there is no refund on opened, unsealed or penetrated vegetable or gelatin capsule packages.
