Rick and Kelly Calvert founded on October 10th, 2000 and incorporated as Empty Caps Company in 2003. They took a parcel of bare earth and turned it into a backyard paradise, lush with citrus and stone fruit trees, and they've even managed to grow goldfinger bananas. The two palm trees Rick is standing under in the video were seedlings transplanted in a single 5 qt. ice cream bucket when they moved from San Diego in 2003.
